Can I buy at Connectbrazil.com without becoming a member?

Of course you can! We're Brazilian music fans just like you are, and one of the main reasons we started Connectbrazil.com was to be able to make Brazilian music, DVD's, books and more available to others who share our love and enthusiasm. Any item offered for general purchase is available to anyone, anytime, And if you don't see what you're looking for, just contact us for a quick reply.

We've put a lot of thought and effort into our Buyer's Club and we think that you'll appreciate its many benefits. Our goal is to create a community of Brazilian music fans and our Buyer's Club is part of that vision.

What is the Connectbrazil Buyer's Club?

The Connectbrazil.com "Buyer's Club" was established in 1997 as a way to help Brazilian music fans expand their appreciation of Brazilian music in all of its many forms.

Over the years, the Connectbrazil Buyer's Club has served its members by providing discounts of 10-25% or more on every member purchase, plus important extras including contests (everything from CD collections to free trips to Brazil), exclusive web content, special 'Buyer's Club' offers on CD's DVD's and more, plus 'members-only' access to our Connectbrazil.com 'premium' webcast channel.

Plus, we'll begin your membership with a unique offer in the world of Brazilian music - choose any three CDs from our extensive lists for free! It's called '3 For Free!'

From time to time, Connectbrazil schedules 'Open House' weeks: Free access for all visitors to our 'members-only' areas to experience many of the benefits offered.

How do I become a Member?

There are several ways to instantly become a Connectbrazil Buyers Club member.

Soon, you will be able to activate your membership at any time within Connectbrazil.com by following these three simple steps:

1. Membership to our Buyers Club begins with your free CD selections. Click on the 'Three for Free' link from the CD 'drop down' menu at the top of any page. From here you can browse through our current 'Three for Free' selections.

Or you can browse through all of the items in our e-store. You'll see many that have the '3 for Free' banner directly below the picture of the item.

2. When you are ready join, just click on any '3 for Free' banner from any page where it is displayed. This will take you to our Buyers Club 'sign-up' page. You'll need to read through and accept the 'terms and conditions' statement before continuing.

3. Click on the 'Add To Your Shopping Cart' button at the bottom of the page to add your membership to your order. You'll see it listed in your shopping cart with an informational note advising you to select your '3 for Free' CDs.

To make the selection of your '3 for Free' CDs easier, we've designed our system to show only the currently available '3 for Free' CDs to you. Please understand that you will not be able to access other items in our e-store until you have completed your '3 for Free' selections.

Your initial order (including your 'Three for Free' selections!) will also include a Connectbrazil Buyer's Club information sheet. It's a handy guide, which outlines the many benefits afforded to you as a member in good standing. It will also list the start date of your membership and your renewal date, too.

What are the Membership benefits and requirements?

Annual Membership is only US$49.99 per year or US$79,99 for two years.! We'll start off your Connectbrazil Buyers Club membership with your choice of three (3) free CDs from our extensive list. Or you can browse our store for available titles while you shop. Look around... we think you'll like what you see.

From time to time, we will offer lower membership rates via announced promotions.

New 'Three for Free' titles are always being added, but availability is always limited to what we have 'in stock'. We reserve the right to substitute a title if we run out of stock, but you'll always be given the option to choose a replacement title first. Its a great way to add to or begin your Brazilian music collection.

Please note that 'Three for Free' titles are subject to shipping and handling charges.

Save up to 25% or more, plus free shipping on all 'three CD orders(except '3 For Free').. Members will usually pay no more than $15.99 for single CDs, domestic or import, basedon market availabilty.

You'll also save on exclusive pre-order selections before they are available in stores or other websites. And your 'Preferred Processing' status applies to hard-to-find or rare recordings too. As a Buyers Club member, you'll be notified of the availability of special and limited quantity titles weeks before they are listed on our website.

Did we say Webcasts?

Q: Is this registration mandatory?
A:
Yes. It insures that you'll receive the discounts and privileges that are included with your Buyers Club membership. It also 'remembers' your billing and shipping addresses, so you won't have to enter them each time you want to order from us. We do not store payment information at Connectbrazil.com.

Q: Why is the Sign In form available on only the 'Member Page' at Connectbrazil.com?

The 'Member Page' is where you'll find the latest member news, updates, contests and special offers 'for Connectbrazil.com Buyer's Club members only! We want to keep you involved and engaged with the unique universe of Brazilian music and we encourage you to check in often. Be sure to 'Sign In' with every visit. It's important.

Q: What happens if I lose my password?

Be sure to save your Sign In information. If you lose your password, you may contact us to have it reset by typing keyword EMAIL in the keyword search box at most any page at Connectbrazil.com. Please choose 'Customer Service - Buyers Club questions' from the drop down menu, and include your request to have your password reset.

Q: Which e-mail address should I use?
A:
We ask that you provide us with a primary email address, because sometimes we will send you member information which is time sensitive and important to the maintenance of your Buyers Club account. Notify us of any change to your email address, by typing keyword EMAIL in the keyword search box at most any page at Connectbrazil.com. Choose 'Customer Service - Buyers Club questions' from the drop down menu. Be sure to include both e-mail addresses - current and new - in your message to us.

Q: What are 'cookies,' and why are they so important?
A:
'Cookies' are short pieces of secure data that are sent to your computer when you visit a website. On later visits, this data is then returned to that website. At Connectbrazil.com, we use 'cookies' to safely identify you as a Buyer's Club member. When our 'cookies' are working properly ("enabled"), they make sure that you see our Buyers Club discounts, order buttons and have access to other features which are included with your membership.

Q: I have friends who may want to buy from Connectbrazil.com. Are they allowed to use my Buyers Club account?
A:
No. Buyer's Club benefits are assigned exclusively to the enrolling member. If a Buyer's Club order is placed with information which does not match the billing and payment information of the enrolled member on file, we will automatically enroll the ordering party in a one-year Buyers Club membership, and bill the credit card accordingly.

Members may place orders as 'gifts' for friends by changing the shipping address to the intended recipient. However the billing information must match the member information on file.

We encourage everyone to enjoy the Brazilian music and other items offered by Connectbrazil.com, but your security is our paramount concern. Do not share your Buyer's Club member information.

Q: What should I do if I run into problems with the registration process, the Sign In process or the Ordering process?
A:

When will my Membership renew?

Your Connectbrazil Buyers Club membership will automatically renew each year to insure that you never miss a day of the great savings and unique content that is 'for members only'.

We'll send you a Buyers Club renewal notice by e-mail each year before your final month of membership. To retain your membership, do nothing. If you decide not to renew your annual membership, simply send us an e-mail and we'll send you a letter of confirmation.

We encourage you to join our Buyers Club and to explore the many benefits of your membership! You'll soon find that your yearly minimum purchase will pass quickly and that you'll enjoy your membership for many years.

What are my payment options?

Your Connectbrazil.com order will not be processed until your payment has been received and confirmed. Memebrs are required to have their payment information on file with Connectbrazil.com.

Connectbrazil.com accepts payment by credit card: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, along with debit cards that include the Visa or MasterCard logo.

We accept money orders and bank checks denominated in US funds and drawn from the US Post Office or a US-based bank, paid to Connectbrazil.com. Typically, there is a 7-14 day transaction delay for payments of this type. Please read through the 'Payment' section in our 'Terms & Condidtions' to learn more about this option.

Payment by personal check, paid to Connectbrazil.com and denominated in US funds, drawn from a US-based bank is accepted. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for this type of payment if sent from a U.S. address, 4 to 6 weeks if payment is sent from an international address. Personal checks returned for NSF (non-sufficient funds) will be subject to a $50.00 administration fee by an outside collection agency.

All checks must include a valid nine-digit bank routing number (ABA code) MICR-encoded on the bottom of the check.

Connectbrazil.com Gift Certificates are accepted for payment and are valid for a period of one year from the date of purchase.

Connectbrazil.com does not accept cash, wire transfers or electronic check payments. We do not process COD or Purchase Orders, with the exception of Institutional sales, which are subject to a term of 30 days, paid in full.
