Hello! My name is George Klabin. I grew up as a teen in São Paulo, Brasil at the birth of Bossa Nova, which led to my lifelong love affair with this music.
As a recording studio owner and engineer, and founder of a Grammy-winning record label, I’m opening my personal journal to share my musical adventures with you.
These are my stories. This is the music!
This week we’ll turn our attention to a pair of Brazil’s greatest composers and songwriters, Antonio Carlos Jobim (the only Brazilian enshrined in the International Songwriters Hall of Fame) and Egberto Gismonti, who was bestowed the honorary Order of Cultural Merit (A Ordem do Mérito Cultural) by Brazil’s Ministry of Culture in 2005.
Let’s plan to settle in for some Sunday time together with Heart of Brasil exclusively on Connect Brazil’s streaming station.
